Parent Survey 2026 Feedback

Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our recent parental survey. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us better understand your experiences and identify areas where we can continue to improve. We are thrilled with the results and would like to thank you for all your support and kind words. It was a pleasure sharing these results with staff as well as governors at the most recent Full Governing Body Meeting.

We are incredibly proud that 99% of you agree that you would recommend our school to other parents. This is further emphasised by the fact that 99% of parents agree that their child receives the help they need to do well in school, and 100% of parents believe that their child makes good progress. These are fantastic endorsements and reflect the hard work and dedication of our entire staff. It is also wonderful to see that 97% of you strongly agree or agree that your child is happy at school and feels safe in our school. We remain committed to providing a secure, safe haven where every child can flourish academically, socially and emotionally. This commitment to wellbeing is further reinforced by 90% of you stating that our pupils are well behaved, reflecting the positive and respectful culture we strive to maintain throughout the school.

An area for improvement we have identified is better communication about how the school deals with bullying. We noticed that 41% of respondents were unsure about how bullying is handled, which suggests a need for us to improve awareness in this area. We already take many steps to talk about bullying with the children, including regular PSHE lessons, assemblies, and discussions about our school rules—Be Kind, Be Safe, Be the Best You Can Be— and our ERIC values, particularly respect and communication. We recognise Anti-Bullying Week each November and hold workshops for children on this important topic. Our updated anti-bullying policy is published annually on our school website. We also gather pupils’ views through pupil voice and the School Council will be designing a leaflet for children and parents about bullying soon—watch this space!

Regarding school clubs, teachers are involved in running the SMART Thinking Club and Take a Break Club, supporting individual children in line with our Relationship and Behaviour Policy. We also offer a Year 2 singing club and Cosy Club, led by the Headteacher one lunchtime per week. We have expanded our external clubs this year to include sports, art, and musical theatre, which have been very successful. We will continue to explore ways to increase extra-curricular opportunities for our children moving forward.
