Sport Premium Funding

The Department for Education has made a huge investment into developing school PE and sport through the Primary School Sport Premium. The aim of the premium is to give all children high quality provision, new opportunities and experiences, and to embed the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle. The funding amount schools receive is based upon the number of children on roll at the school. At Hatfield Peverel Infant and Nursery School we believe that all children should have access to high quality PE lessons where they learn new skills and develop existing ones whilst having fun. We promote participation for enjoyment and competition between ourselves and other schools. We encourage all members of our school community to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

It is our intention to develop a lifelong love of physical activity, sport and PE in all our pupils, building character and helping to embed values such as respect and fairness. We aim to provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in ways to support their health and fitness, enabling them to have a positive and healthy physical and mental outlook in the future.
