Whole school art project – We Love Hatfield Peverel

Children have worked collaboratively to make a whole school display about what we love about Hatfield Peverel. Mrs Fairbairn talked to the children about our village and the changes that she has seen since she began to live in the village. She has lived in the village for 23 years! The children talked about the growing housing estates, the use of the village hall and how many traffic jams are on the A12! The children had the opportunity to draw and paint features of our village using coloured pencils, crayons, pens and watercolour paints.

The children thought carefully about what they wanted to include in the final piece. We had pictures of the allotments, Upson’s Farm, our school and St. Andrew’s Junior School, the fish and chip shop, the duck pond, a train, and even an ASDA delivery van!

We have some very talented artists in our school!
