Hedgehog Class and Squirrel Class
The children took part in an exciting experience day linked to the book ‘The Polar Express’. The children enjoyed wearing their pyjamas, making tickets and travelling on an imaginary train! They enjoyed getting their tickets punched by the conductor!
Our parents came for a DT workshop and supported the children by making Little Red Riding Hood puppets, experimenting with different joining techniques.
The children enjoyed listening to ‘The Smartest Giant in Town’ and wrote some wonderful letters to George thanking him for helping!
The children have enjoyed learning the importance of caring for our environment. They carried out a range of fun activities to support their understanding, including cleaning up the rubbish with tweezers, recycling games on the iPads, cleaning up an oil spill in the ocean, sorting happy and sad earth images and creating their own posters to create awareness.
In art the children enjoyed exploring primary colours and learning how to make secondary colours. They used their colour mixing skills to recreate the work of art ‘Colours in numbers’ by Jasper Johns.
